Our aim is to provide comprehensive health care to the single homeless population of Leeds.

The primary healthcare team is an extended one, providing services to a large number of patients with physical health issues, which often present in together with problems of substance misuse, mental health issues and/or disorder of self.

The team seeks to make extensive use of evidence based practice. However for many of the health problems affecting homeless persons, the evidence base either does not exist or is of limited relevance to the primary care setting.

As a result the team has made it a priority to carry out high quality research of a standard that would enable publication in credible peer-reviewed journals and that would contribute to the development of an evidence base of best practice in the delivery of care.

This site is intended to introduce visitors to our work, advertise forthcoming events, share our research findings, as well as invite discussion and feedback.
